Coffee + Something Else = Coffee with Another Name

But in essence, it goes like this:

espresso + steamed milk + froth milk = cappuccino

espresso + cup of hot water = americano

espresso + steamed milk = caffe latte

brewed coffee + steamed milk = caf au lait

coffee + irish whiskey + sugar + whipped cream = irish coffee

instant coffee + cocoa powder + milk = cafe mocha

Coffee from Dung is Very Expensive

It's hard to believe that people would actually spend anywhere between $15 to $65 a cup for coffee that comes from dung and which goes by the name kopi luwak. Translated, kopi luwak is civet coffee.

Civets are cat like wild animals that are common in Indonesia and Philippines. These civets eat ripe coffee beans. However, its digestive system does not break down the beans. So these beans exit the civet's digestive system intact. Workers then gather the dung, wash them and dry them. The dried beans are then roasted lightly.

So what makes people drink this very expensive coffee? They say that the bitterness is removed from the coffee beans once it goes through the civet's digestive organ and thus kopi luwak has a clean aftertaste.
